How do I pause or skip my subscription?
Need a break? You can skip individual months or pause your entire subscription at any time, without losing your account or preferences.
Skip a Single Month
If you just want to skip one upcoming month:
Method 1: Via Calendar
Go to scento.com/calendar
Find the month you want to skip
Remove your fragrance selection (leave it empty)
We won't charge or ship for that month
Method 2: Via Manage Subscription
Go to your account
Click "Manage Subscription"
Access the Stripe customer portal
Select the option to skip next shipment
What Happens When You Skip
No charge for that month
No delivery for that month
Your subscription stays active
Next month resumes automatically
Important: Skip at least 5 days before your billing date to ensure the change takes effect.
Pause Your Subscription
For a longer break, pause your entire subscription:

In the Stripe portal, select "Pause subscription"
Choose how long you want to pause

No charges during the pause period
No deliveries during the pause
Your account and preferences are saved
Resume anytime with one click

You can pause for:
1 month
2 months
3 months
Or until you manually resume
Resume Your Subscription
If You Skipped a Month
Your subscription automatically resumes the following month. No action needed.
If You Paused
To resume your paused subscription:
Click "Manage Subscription"
Click "Resume subscription"
Your next billing date will be scheduled

Timing Matters
Deadline for Changes
Make your skip or pause request at least 5 days before your billing date.

Billing date: March 15
Skip deadline: March 10
Request before March 10 = No charge on March 15

If you've already been charged for a month:

Your skip/pause takes effect from the next month

There's no limit to how many months you can skip, though we'd love to have you back!
Can I still buy one-time orders while paused?
Yes! You can make one-time purchases anytime, even when your subscription is paused.
What if I forget I'm paused?
We'll send you reminders, and you can always check your subscription status in your account.
