When am I billed for my subscription?
Your subscription billing date is set when you first subscribe. You're charged on the same date each month - for example, if you subscribed on the 15th, you'll be billed every 15th.
How Billing Works
First Payment
Charged immediately when you subscribe
Includes your first month's fragrance(s)
Payment processes right at checkout
Recurring Payments
Same date each month (your "billing date")
Matches the day you subscribed
Example: Subscribe March 15 → Billed April 15, May 15, etc.
End-of-Month Dates
If you subscribed on the 29th, 30th, or 31st:
Months without that date → Billed on the last day
Example: Subscribe January 31 → Billed February 28 (or 29)

When to Update
Update your payment method if:
Your card is expiring soon
You received a new card number
You want to use a different card
A payment failed
After Updating
New card used for next billing
Previous failed payments may retry automatically
You'll receive confirmation email
Failed Payments
What Happens
If a payment fails:
We'll retry automatically (up to 3 times over 72 hours)
You'll receive email notifications
Update your payment method to prevent issues
Resolving Failed Payments
Check the email for an "Update Payment" link
Or go to "Manage Subscription" in your account
Enter valid payment details
The charge will be retried
If Payments Keep Failing
After multiple failures:
Your subscription may be paused

Surcharge added to that month's bill
Example: €14.99 + €5.00 extra = €19.99 total
Changing Your Billing Date
Your billing date is tied to when you subscribed and cannot be manually changed. However:
Cancel and resubscribe on a different date to change your billing cycle

Common Questions
Can I pay yearly instead of monthly?
Currently, only monthly billing is available. This gives you maximum flexibility to pause, skip, or cancel.
Why was I charged a different amount?
This could be due to:
A premium fragrance with extra price
Currency conversion by your bank
Plan upgrade/downgrade
Can I get a receipt for my subscription?
Yes! View all receipts in the Stripe portal:
"Manage Subscription"
"Billing history"
Download invoices as PDF
What time am I charged?
Billing occurs based on your timezone and when the system processes subscriptions. It's typically during your billing date, though the exact hour may vary.
Can I change my billing date?
The simplest way is to cancel and resubscribe on your preferred date. Your account and preferences are preserved.
